2010 Clearwater County Election Information

The following Clearwater County offices will be up for Election during the 2010 year:  

  • County Commissioner, District 2                      (4 year term)
  • County Commissioner, District 3                      (2 year term)
  • Clerk of the District Court                                (4 year term)
  • County Treasurer                                             (4 year term)
  • County Assessor                                              (4 year term)
  • County Coroner                                               (4 year term)
  • Precinct Committeeman                                    (2 year term)

2010 Idaho Primary and General Clearwater County Election Calendar

 

 March  8 First day for filing declarations of candidacy of all candidates, including independents, with County Clerk.
 March 19 Last day for filing declarations of candidacy until 5:00 p.m.
 End of March Absentee ballots should be ready to be mailed out.  Anyone who has family overseas (in the military or otherwise) who wants to vote in the May 25th Primary Election should urge their family member to request an absentee ballot in writing.  This request should be in the County Clerk’s office by this time so we can get their absentee ballot mailed out to them in plenty of time for them to vote and have the voted ballot back to the County Clerk’s office by the Primary Election. 
 April 27 Last day declaration of intent to be filed by write-in candidates.
 April 30 Last day for elector to pre-register for the Primary Election.  Election Day registration is available.
 May 19 Last day for application for mail-in absentee ballot to be received by County Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m.
 May 24 Last day for application for in person absentee voting at the County Clerk’s office until 5:00 p.m.
 May 25 Last day for return of absentee ballots by 8:00 p.m.
 May 25 Primary Election – polls open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
 September 13 Last day for County Clerk to print absentee ballot.  Anyone who has family overseas (in the military or otherwise) who wants to vote in the November 2nd General Election should urge their family member to request an absentee ballot in writing.  This request should be in the County Clerk’s office by this time so we can get their absentee ballot mailed out to them in plenty of time for them to vote and have the voted ballot back to the County Clerk’s office by the General Election.
