| The Clearwater County Jail is located on the second floor of the Clearwater County Courthouse. The jail can be reached by telephone at 208-476-4521. Access is through the front doors and up the stairs Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, access is by the elevator under the courthouse. People coming into the jail can be searched for weapons and contraband.
Jail Visiting Hours are: Effective March 1, 2007 Thursday 6 p.m - 9 p.m. Saturday 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Holidays - 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.--Holidays include New Years, Christmas, Thanksgiving and July 4th
Jail Visitor Rules
- Visits will be limited to 15 minutes.
- Picture Identification required of all visitors upon the request of the Jail Staff.
- No intoxicated person or any person who has been drinking will be allowed to visit.
- Visiting is a privilege. Any visit can be terminated by the Jailer on duty.
- No food or drink allowed in the visiting area.
- No smoking or tobacco use allowed.
- No weapons allowed.
- Inappropriate language, disruptive or disorderly conduct will not be allowed.
- Persons waiting to visit must remain in the hallway.
- Person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent, legal guardian, or a responsible adult at all times.Parent or legal guardian is responsible for person under the age of 18. The on-duty jailer has full discretion of the term “responsible”.
- Children must remain next to the parent or legal guardian at all times. Children will not be allowed to climb on the tables or stools in the visiting room.
- No items may be left for the inmates. Only money in the form of cash, money order, or cashiers check is allowed.
- Complaints must be submitted in writing to the Jail Administrator.
- Inmates have the right to refuse a visit.
- Clearwater County Jail does not allow contact visits.
- Visitors that travel 150 or more miles to the jail may request a special or extended visit that must be approved prior to the visit.
- Cell phones are not permitted in the visitation room.
- Provided phones must be used in the visitation area to talk. If you refuse, the visitation session will be terminated
