Mission:
Provide quality services with understanding of the required building codes and ordinances mandated by the state and adopted by the county along with a common sense of interpretation of these rules.

The Building and Planning Department coordinates day-to-day zoning and building code implementation, enforcement, and follow-on actions along with preparing and updating the ordinances that the department follows.   

Per Idaho Code 74-204, notice is hereby given that the Clearwater County Planning and Zoning Commission will hold their regular scheduled monthly public meetings every third Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm in Courtroom 1 located in the Clearwater County Courthouse, 150 Michigan Avenue, Orofino, Idaho.  The cut-off date for an application to be added to the next month’s Planning and Zoning Commission agenda is 2:00 pm the Monday prior to the regular scheduled monthly meeting.  

Monthly agendas are posted on the Clearwater County website at www.clearwatercounty.org

Regular meeting dates for 2018 are:  January 17th, February 21st, March 21st, April 18th, May 16th, June 20th, July 18th, August 15th, September 19th, October 17th, November 21st, and December 19th.
