Please separate your recyclables and make sure bottles and boxes are clean before bringing to the Recycling Center. The easiest way to do this is to have a separate container for each type of recyclable (paper, plastic, aluminum and cardboard) for collection.   

Paper: No gift wrap, wax paper, paper towels, tissue or other trash. Books that are in good shape may be left at the ClearMart Store at the Transfer Station. Materials collected include: Newspaper, inserts, magazines, catalogs, phone books, all office paper, junk mail, labels from cans, paperback books.   

Plastic Bottles & Jugs: NO plastic bags, plastic clamshells (deli/fresh produce containers), Styrofoam, or other plastic trash. NO bottles that contained motor oil or hazardous waste. Container top opening must be smaller than the bottom of the container. All containers MUST be rinsed and lids discarded. Materials collected include: milk jugs, plastic bottles, buckets and other plastic household containers.   

Aluminum/tin cans: All cans MUST be rinsed and lids discarded. No loose lids or pop tops, aluminum foil, aerosols, paint, hydrocarbon, fuel, pesticide or herbicide containers. Pop can tops may be donated to the Orofino Kiwanis Club to help the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane. Materials collected include: tin and aluminum cans, foil trays.   

Cardboard: No wax lined boxes, foil or Styrofoam. Materials collected include: Cardboard, brown paper grocery bags, cereal and food boxes, beverage cases, cardboard tubes, egg cartons.   

Clearwater Recycling Center cannot accept glass or trash! 

Recycling Center is Drop-off Only 

The Recycling Center is a drop off place only. No money is paid for recyclables at the Recycling Center. If you would like reimbursement on your recyclables you will need to take them to the recycling places in Lewiston.
